Day One Shorts 2025 Hui

The commissioned Day One Shorts 2025 teams met last weekend for the first time in-person kicking off their journey as professionally funded short format filmmakers.

We kicked off our event and met at our new onlining partner; The Department of Post’s premises. A big shout to Mitch B, James B and Julian D there!

Each year we provide wraparound support some of which included sharing their project pitches, engaging with professional industry script consultants whilst meeting with fellow former alum, exchanging invaluable information and experience alongside their fellow peers.

Ngā mihi nui to the amazing Sean Dioneda Rivera for holding a wonderful whanaungatanga session with this year’s filmmakers.
