Ricky Townsend
Director
Ricky Townsend is a filmmaker from Ōtautahi with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) in Film from Ilam School of Fine Arts. An autistic filmmaker, Ricky explores stories through neurodivergent perspectives. His feature film The Bostrom Scenario has screened at festivals like the Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival and won Best Sci-Fi Thriller at the Miami Sci-Fi Film Festival. His short films have also been showcased at the Sydney Indie Film Festival and Top of the South Film Festival.
Ella Waswo
Producer
Ella Waswo is an Ōtautahi-based filmmaker and artist with a background in running a charity music festival and managing a tattoo practice. She discovered her passion for film in 2018 and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) in Film. Ella’s industry experience includes producing The Bostrom Scenario, serving as 1st AD on A Peek Inside the CHCH Internet Troll Agency, and creating content for The Arts Foundation and REnews.
Joseph Chamsay
Producer
Joseph Chamsay is a graduate producer from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), majoring in Television and Film. With over four years of experience in community television and online productions, Joseph has worked on a variety of projects, from comedy news to dog care videos. In 2019, he interned with CNN Philippines before moving to Christchurch, where he now applies his skills in creative project management.
