Director
Libby Witheford-Smith is a filmmaker who studied at New Zealand Film and Television School. She wrote a short comedy-drama, "Old Haunt," which won Best Next Gen Short at the Melbourne Women in Film Festival 2024. Libby made her directorial debut with "Taurewarewa," where she played a pivotal role both in front of and behind the camera for this impactful short documentary.

Lily Groenhart discovered her passion for production while studying at New Zealand Film and Television School. She has worked on various small-scale projects in different production roles. "Taurewarewa" marks Lily's first time producing a funded project, and she was fortunate to work alongside her close friend Libby to bring this project to life.
