Robert Norman is a 21-year-old filmmaker of Samoan-European descent. He is in his final year of study at the University of Auckland, pursuing a BA double major in History and Pacific Studies. Robert has one short film he wrote and directed under his belt and is excited to continue his filmmaking journey in 2024.

Liz Laupepa

Liz Laupepa is a Samoan producer based in Tāmaki Makaurau with a passion for people and their stories. With a background in producing ad campaigns and music videos, including the award-winning music video "Afio Ane Loa" by Tree, Liz has also produced successful TikTok series such as "The 9-5ers" and "The Tongan Rogue General." She has worked in TV and film for seven years in the hair, makeup, and costume departments and has been producing for the past four years. Liz is currently a producer for O Tamaiti Ltd and is developing several series for the upcoming year.

Pilisita Mateni is a 24-year-old filmmaker of Tongan and Samoan descent. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications, majoring in Screen and Television Production with a minor in Performance for Camera Studies and Multicamera Productions. Pilisita has worked on various productions as a Production Manager, Production Assistant, Runner, and HOD of Unit. She has also served as an associate producer for different music projects. Pilisita is excited to produce this short documentary, which resonates with her background of having grandparents and parents who moved to New Zealand from the islands for better opportunities
