Roxie Mohebbi
Director
Roxie was born in Tehran, Iran and was a political refugee into Aotearoa
aged 5. She grew up in Nelson, facing the challenges a small town brings.
She went on to train and work as a nurse for 4 years before realising her
passions in the creative sector.
Roxie has been in the film and TV industry for 5 years , and in that time
has made a noticeable impact on pushing boundaries and pursuing
authentic storytelling.
Roxie has an established profile working as an actor across many top
tier projects from leading Australian series Critical Incident to series
regular on Shortland Street. She has been recently nominated for Best
Supporting Actress for her work on groundbreaking Muslim series ‘Miles
From Nowhere’.
Writing and directing have always been the end goal for Roxie, as she
believes that story sovereignty is born out of leadership in roles that
extend beyond acting.

Betty Scott Molloy
Producer
Betty Scott Molloy has been working in the film industry for over seven years.
Her experiences, working with both cast and crew, have given her valuable insight into the making of film and television and has highlighted the importance of creating a smooth, professional and happy working environment both on and off the set.
Betty is especially interested in storytelling and is committed to supporting bold, culturally rich stories with care, intention and creative integrity. She is currently living and working in London, UK.
