Shamin Yazdani is an Iranian-born, Ōtautahi-raised, filmmaker, film reviewer and multi-hyphenate creative whose areas of interest lie at the intersection of identity, belonging, and the diasporic experience. With a background in creative producing in broadcast television in London, Shamin brings a cross-cultural perspective to her work and is passionate about the power of storytelling to foster empathy and connection.
Her work has been featured in BBC World News, Vogue Arabia, Elle Arabia, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, The Gulf Film Festival, MENA Film Festival, London Shubbak Festival, E3G Think Tank, The Spinoff, The 13th Floor and more.
She currently resides in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

Sam Wilton
Producer
Sam Wilton began his career in the UK working on productions for BBC, Channel 4 and Netflix - most notably at Swan Films, a queer arts production company famed for its award winning Grayson Perry series.
In 2019 he moved to New Zealand and joined Gibson Group. He Established himself in Aotearoa quickly, producing a documentary Like a Man and three series of kids show: Bug Hunter! In 2021 he began producing Miles From Nowhere with Ahmed Osman. It marked Sam’s first Drama series and was released on Sky in early 2024.
